At PortsMed, our passion is your health. We know how important healthcare is, and we understand how difficult it can be to access. We aim to provide rapid, high-quality primary-care services to our community — bridging the gap between over-run GP surgeries and emergency / urgent-care centres and the highly expensive, less-local private alternatives. We know many people are struggling to access the care they need, from simple one-off examinations or procedures to comprehensive investigations, and we want to help.
A calm, relaxing alternative
We are unique in the area for providing this service, and we aim to do it in a calm, relaxing environment. We offer face-to-face appointments only — no telephone or virtual consultations — alongside investigations, tailored treatments and follow-up care. Investigations include blood and microbiology tests — with some results available on-site in as little as 20 minutes — through an established London laboratory.
All clinicians have access to specific diagnostic equipment, plus quick and affordable treatments such as joint injections and minor surgery. We can also make specialist referrals and arrange imaging such as MRI and ultrasound scans.
All our clinicians have worked in the local area for many years and understand what patients want and need — we have listened to their concerns and frustrations, and built PortsMed around the answers.
